Life Goes On…Thankfully
Thank you for all the comments and concern. Things are somewhat calm and I feel better, but I know some things will never be the same as before. Life goes on and I’m trying to accept the fact that I cannot fix everyone’s problems. Time to put away the Christmas decorations and start a new year.
My husband got an X-box for Christmas and video games are not my idea of fun. I get bored sitting here watching him try to blow things up! So despite my mentioned vacation before, I’m still around.
Since there will not be many new shows on TV with the writer’s strike, I’m guessing our evenings will be filled with Lego Star Wars for a while. Ethan is in his own little world of Transformers and Lego’s.
I went back to the orthopaedic doctor Friday for a 2 week check-up and to get these stitches out. Ethan went along and brought a Fisher Price camera (a gift from Christmas). It was quite entertaining for him to take pictures of the nurse removing the stitches. Although, he had her in stitches by the time it was done and had told her my feet stink and I was on drugs. Lovely.
I’ll leave you with a few pictures of our visit courtesy of Ethan.

Wow, if your ankle is still that bruised after 2 weeks, I can’t imagine how it looked when it was first done.
I’m glad you are back. I’ve been praying for you.
okay- so call me a weenie, but that kindof made me want to puke a little in my mouth.
Oh Andi, I could post pictures of my elbow surgery last January. It was bruised terrible and had staples along a 3 inch incision that would have really grossed you out! Plus all the hardware they took out & let me keep. I’ll e-mail ya that!!!
I’m remembering all the pain and many operations you’ve spoken about in the past. They are helping me with my fear, when I have surgery January 18th. You’ll be my inspiration and I need one badly.
The photo is great…the foot wow..no wonder you hate the thought of whats next..
Glad it’s over for awhile for you.
My best, Dorothy from grammology
remember to call gram
I tagged you on my blog - so start thinking crazy thoughts and come check it out.
I am so impressed with the little man’s camera skills. Glad to hear you are feeling better (emotionally and physically). From a nurses standpoint, the leg looks great!
Happy new year to you and yours.
OWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
you’re so super strong!
Ouch! Hope all is well and back to normal soon. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2008!
Ouch!
That looks painful.
We got a little tykes camera for Matt. It’s hilarious to see the pictures he takes. I particularly like the ones of my double chin.
Mike got an xbox too. We had to return it and we’re waiting for a new one. But, oh so much fun. (for him)
Ouch. That looks painful.
Happy new year!
Glad you are healing well! I am sorry that your Christmas was hurtful for you and I hope you have a wonderful New Year full of Joy.
I so hear you on the dh and the video games, I made the mistake of giving my dh a number of new toys and am now paying the price. ie being ignored:)
