Define Love
I don’t think love is as much a feeling, as it is an action.
Love just spent the last 2 hours trying to get a huge stain out of the carpet that I created. (Did you know that a paper plate can flip if it’s left on the edge of a table and you barely touch it?)
Love wishes we had hardwood floors. Thank God for love! It is what has held this marriage together for the past 6 weeks.
This is the Pizza Pie dish that I managed to totally flip onto our living room floor. Thus far we’ve used Oxy, Woolite and DeSolvit on the spot and cleaned it thoroughly with our Bissell Upright Steam Cleaner. (I say we, but I mean the guy in love with me.)
Any suggestions?
Spot Shot Carpet Cleaner. It takes out EVERYTHING.
I know this from experience.
Or should I say … my “love” does.
I was afraid to click that link because I knew where it was headed……..I bet that takes some of the goodenss out of the recipe.
On the other hand - I’m glad you are getting better.
Spot-test it first, but Mr Clean (the liquid, not the eraser) has performed miracles for me in the past (say, beige pants that went through THE DRYER with my sister’s sweater that happened to have RED LIPSTICK in the pocket… stain was “set” in the dryer but still came out with Mr Clean). The only crappy thing is the rinsing of the carpet.
But yeah, Mr Clean.
Hi Emily
Friends that own a carpet business recommend 3%Hydrogen peroxide, the one that costs about $.50. Put some on a piece of paper towel or towel and use it sparingly. It is really works well. We tried it at their suggestion on a red wine stain and Voila! it was gone. You may want to try some on a hidden corner somewhere. Our carpet is an offwhite and it did not hurt it or cause any problem.
Good luck!
My suggestion is hardwood floors;) We recently gave up the ghost on carpet and ripped our our main floor carpet. I now have lovely plywood floors until we get the hardwood in. After the kitchen gets done. So maybe next year sometime…
3 ingredients: mouth. spit. suck. that spot should come up just like “that” (snaps).
(nasty).
The hydrogen peroxide does wonders. That’s what I use in our apartment building after tenants move out usually.
I think love is a choice. even when it is a hard choice, I chose to love my husband. And sometimes it’s very, very hard.
Thanks for all the suggestions! The hydrogen peroxide worked really well. You can barely see any hint of the grease now. I may try it again in a few days and hopefully after a few treatments and a good cleaning with our steam vac, it will totally be gone!
Oh, I totally recommend that Pizza Pie Dish. You can find it on Perri’s site. It’s is delicious and very easy to make!!
We have hardwood floors and they are also a pain. Unless you get the hard finish your always making scratches..and thats heartbreaking too. So now I just enjoy and to hell with stain and scratch..enjoy life. You and I know it can be fleeting.

remember to call gram
@Jodi: Oh my, a girl after my own heart….LOL
@Emily: Can I have your ‘love’? teehee. Na, mine comes through every now and again. I guess it is better than having a wife beating, alcoholic womanizer; right?
I have a good guy and it sounds like you have one too. That is wonderful!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend; you deserve it!
